28.3.-2.4.2011 koulullamme oli Comenius-vieraita kumppanuuskouluistamme.
Vieraanamme oli 16 opettajaa sekä 18 oppilasta Jenasta (Saksa), Ateenasta (Kreikka), Trebicistä (Tsekki) sekä Liverpoolista (Britannia).
Viikon ohjelma alkoi tutustumisella toisiimme, kouluumme sekä Haapaveden kaupunkiin. Viikon aikana näimme upean Kreikkalaisen tanssiesityksen ja opettelimme myös kunkin maan tansseja.
Koululla oli taidenäyttely, jossa pystyi tutustumaan eri maiden legenda-aiheisiin taideteoksiin. Oppilaat laittoivat myös yhdessä ruokaa ja opettelivat laulamaan suomalaisia kansanlauluja. Upeista kevättalven keleistä saimme nauttia lasketteluretkellä Vuokattiin. Viikon huipennukseksi oppilaat järjestivät loppujuhlan, jonka päätteeksi jätettiin kaihoisat jäähyväiset ja suunniteltiin jo seuraavia tapaamisia.
Sekä oppilaille että opettajille, niin vieraille kuin isännillekin, viikosta jäi paljon hauskoja muistoja sekä toivottavasti kauas tulevaan kantavia ystävyyssuhteita.

28th March- 2nd April 2011 our school had Comenius visitors from our partner countries.
There were 16 teachers and 18 students from Jena (Germany), Athens (Greece), Trebic (Czech) and Liverpool (Britain).
We started the programme by getting to know each other, our school and the town of Haapavesi. During the week we saw a fantastic dance performance by the Greek students and also learned some dances from each country. We had an art exhibition at school where you could get to know legend-art from each country. The students were also cooking together and learned to sing some Finnish folk songs. During our ski trip to Vuokatti ski resort we could enjoy the amazing Finnish spring weather. To end the great week, the students arranged a farewell party where they said the sad goodbye and started planning the next meetings.
For both the students and the teachers, quests and hosts alike, the week together brought a lot of good memories and hopefully also friendships to last far away in the future.
